Oxford RF recognised at the Self-Driving Industry Award 2026 in the Hardware Category
We’re delighted to share that Oxford RF has won the Self-Driving Industry Award 2026 in the Hardware Category.
This recognition reflects years of hard work by our team to develop radar sensing solutions that deliver real-world performance, reliability and value in demanding autonomous and safety-critical applications.
At Oxford RF, we’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of radar technology, from innovative sensor architectures to practical systems that help machines better understand their surroundings.
This achievement belongs to our entire team, whose creativity, determination and engineering excellence continue to turn ambitious ideas into reality.
A sincere thank you to Cars of the Future for this recognition, and congratulations to all the finalists and winners who are helping to shape the future of autonomous and self-driving technologies.

Hosted at the Turner Contemporary in Margate, the awards ceremony brought together some of the most influential voices in the UK’s technology and engineering community as well as dignitaries.
Cars of the Future editor, Neil Kennett, on behalf of the 2026 Self-Driving Industry Awards judging panel, said:
“Our winner should serve as an inspiration to all the start-ups here today, having won our Launchpad Award back in 2024. Based in Warrington, they came to prominence with the world’s first solid-state 360-degree radar sensor, followed by a 270-degree wide field-of-view radar. A key focus is erratic swerving vehicles, which autonomous systems can struggle to classify in time.
Recently appointed leader of the Government-backed 5D-RAPID project, the 2026 Self-Driving Industry Award for Hardware goes to Oxford RF.”
