Oxford RF’s big win at Techworks Awards 2024

We are pleased to announce our big win at the 2024 Self-Driving Industry Awards. Oxford RF has been awarded the Automotive Systems Innovation Award for developing the industry’s first wide field-of-vision (up to 360 degrees) solid-state radar sensors that enable 5D and 6D radar sensing in a likely world-first attempt. The sensors enable a new centralised ADAS/ADS automotive sensors architecture.

The awards ceremony took place at the lavish Royal Lancaster Hotel in London and was attended by dignitaries and prominent industrialists from all over the country.

Why is this a big deal? Techworks represents the best and brightest in the UK’s high-tech industries. The awards was sponsored by AESIN whose members include the brightest minds in automotive electronic systems innovation. Winning this award means that a panel of industry leaders sat down and judged our technology to be the UK’s top upcoming technology in Automotive Systems Engineering. This is a truly remarkable achievement by Oxford RF.

The award is yet another recognition of the outstanding work that is being done at Oxford RF to take safety to the next level in ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) and ADS (automated driving systems). In November 2024, Oxford RF also won at the Self-Driving Industry Awards in the Launchpad (Hardware) category.

Sharing his thoughts at the event, Oxford RF CEO Dr Kashif Siddiq said, “It’s a great honour to receive this prestigious award, which is testament to the ground-breaking work happening at Oxford RF. Congratulations to the whole Oxford RF team. Our gratitude to the award selection committee for recognising our work. Congratulations also to fellow award winners!”
